Default Solar Energy and Passive Water Heaters!

I have a passive solar water heater at my home (but we also have a backup regular water heater for inclement weather), and it's great. I had it installed I had the thermosyphon system type istalled. The water heats up in tank, and then is stored another larger tank. Now that it is installed it only has to be checked every 3-5 years. It's low maintainence and an easy way to contribute to the environment a littel bit.
There also a few different kinds of solar water heaters, active and passive, but I don't know much about them. I would really recommend looking into this!

That's wonderful. When it comes to utilizing solar energy, I think we focus too much on solar panels which ironically are not affordable for many of us. Solar water heaters are a cheaper alternative to making good use of solar energy.

I would love to be able to install some of these solar modifications but I don't think I can do it myself. Is there a registry of certified solar installers that you can get to help out? I am trying my best to do everything I can to modify my house not only to help the environment but also to make things a little more budget friendly.
