Default Important facts on why destroying the rainforest is a bad idea?

1. Rain forest can act as a soil erosion prevention like landslides.

2. Destroying the rain forest means destroying one of the earth's biomes and a habitat for literally thousands of species.

3. Perhaps the plant that holds the cure to cancer or AIDS exists in the rainforest.

4. Already, many plants are being found in the Amazon that has important medical properties.

5. The Amazon rain forest is home to not only many thousands of species, but the Yanomami people.

6. Tropical rain forests are among the most efficient regions in oxygen production, surpassed only by coral reefs.
