Default Deodorant

What do you all use for a green deodorant and does it work? I'd like to switch from mainstream deodorant to a more environmentally friendly product but am afraid it won't be as effective.

I have stopped using deodorants lately. I am just applying the same body lotion I use for the rest of my body. It has a strong scent that I love. I also make sure not to eat things that will come out on my sweat like too much garlic and onions. Taking a shower everyday helps. :-)

My mother used to use plain alcohol. She would splash it on her underarms and if she wanted something to boost the effect, she would pat on baking soda like talcum powder with a fake fur pouf. She did this for years and I honestly grew up thinking this was the only thing you used for that purpose.
