Default Vegan or Not?

What diet do you think would be more beneficial to the environment (apart from protecting animals) and your wallet: regular meat eating diet or Veganism or Vegetarianism?

I have to be honest - I can't imagine not eating meat. I mean, we're made to eat meat so it doesn't seem logical to me to try to turn ourselves into herbivores when we are naturally carnivores.

Statistics can show that people who eat vegetables only have longer lifespan than people who eat meat. I think it is alright to eat meat from animals that were grown slowly by grass. Most cattle or poultry today are being fed with chemicals for them to grow faster and this chemicals are bad for our health.

So I say, it is good to eat only vegetables if you can. If you like to eat meat, try eating organic meat.

Like what Bunny said, it is about choice whether you like to be a vegan or not. I'm a vegan and I feel lighter than ever. I eat meat before and I started to be a vegan about 2 years ago. I can say that I've saved a lot after I become a vegan.

Yes, a lot of farm grown animals are fed with all kinds of chemical enhancers in order to produce better meat. I strive to buy meat from the people I trust. And to answer the original question - no, I don't think that being vegan can significantly help the environment. To me this is a matter of personal choice.

I like eating vegetables and fruits but I also can't imagine my diet without animal derived products. I do believe however that balance between the two is a must for a healthy body.

I started as a vegan 2 years ago and I can say that being vegan really helps me a lot when it comes to my condition and being fit as well. It is more healthy compare to those thick meat and fats also. Though, I misses them to it but I have to be more aware in my health.
