Default Organic farming

I hear that organic farming can be more effectively implemented if it is done collectively. If you grow your crops organically but your farmer neighbor doesn't, there is chance that your farm will be contaminated with the pesticides your neighbor applies to his farm.

That's true but you can't regulate what your neighbor does with their land. It would be nice if they would outlaw some of these chemicals instead of allowing them to be so widespread. I have a cousin who had to have her beloved dog euthanized because she was allergic to the chemicals the next door neighbor put on their crops. The dog was sick and lost all of her fur every year when the next door neighbor put the chemical on his crop. The poor thing was miserable even after being put on steroids, allergy shots, allergy medication, etc, etc. The dog and my cousin, the owner, weren't the problem but they had to suffer. It's a shame.

I recently came across a farmer that has free range chickens and he has this little set up where people can just pull up to his little farm and pull out some eggs in a fridge off the side of the road, and then just leave a couple bucks in a box. It's on your honor, but I am definitely benefiting from his creativity.
