Default Redirect downspouts

Want free water for your garden? Redirect downspouts so that they empty into a garden or a rain barrel. The EPA notes that this not only benefits your plants but it also helps prevent stormwater from your property getting washed into rivers and streams and causing pollution.

This is a brilliant way of using rainwater. We have done this by redirecting into a barrel and then feeding the garden by installing hose-pipes under the ground to to the borders. Each pipe has an on/off tap so that we are able to water the areas that most require it.
