I take the bus to work everyday. I reckon it would be more economical and greener if I buy monthly bus pass--yearly one would be even better--rather than have my husband send me to work.
Where I work there's about 200 employees and thankfully not everybody drives a car. Can't imagine if we all do. But only a small number of us take the bus and we are not very happy with it for a few reasons. First, buses are not reliable. Sometimes they don't turn up. Secondly, bus fares go up about every six months or at least twice a year. Thirdly, bus schedule is not flexible for obvious reason. I think the government should favor regular commuters by giving us discounts to encourage more people to use the bus and reduce road congestion and things like that. |

I think giving a discount to a regular rider would be a good idea. However, you would still have to buy a bus pass. You couldn't expect the driver to know whether or not you were regular. What if you had a new driver one morning? Of course, most bus passes are cheaper than paying a fare each day.
