Probably one of the better ways to have a green job is start a career yourself.. if you dont have as much capital a website may be in your best interest but if you do have the capital, try consulting or contracting

An informative "green" website is where you should start.....then maybe sell products on it?

that is exactly what this website is... but developing and finding all of this content isnt easy... plus you have to make your niche website better than your competitors... not easy

Well if you really want to get technical, websites aren't actually all that green since it takes a lot of energy to produce the electricity which makes them run.

I recently read an article about a man who started a business picking up compost-able food waste from various large organizations in his community. They pay him a small fee to haul it away, he produces mass quantities of compost and then sells it. Very low overhead, and nearly pure profit.

Default Go Green and Make Money

There is a company that has been in business since 1985 and they have always incorporated the Go Green concept in their products. Through their unique company structure they have managed to compete against the best in the manufacturing industry. In addition, to producing 5 lines of products (approx. 350 items) that are eco-friendly, using botanicals ingredients, safe for the home, children, and animals, they offer their very own compensation plan for all their clients to build their business. Even in this economical crisis, they are continuously growing into over 800,000 homes. They provide the science, research, products, and customer support. If you always wanted to start your business, but do not have much capital, this would be the way to go, especially if you like talking to people about the Go Green, Eco-friendly concept.
