Question Curtains or blinds

Which makes for a greener home, curtains or blinds? Which helps to conserve more energy? I am planning to put up either of the two on my windows, but I can't make up my mind. I want to have a green home.

I guess it depends on the materiel each is made out of, as blinds can be made out of wood which would make them green or plastic which would make them the opposite, the same goes for curtains.
