Candle Light and Heat
I would remind everyone that candles are an excellent and cheap source of light, when you need dimmed evening light. Also, you can cook simple things on plain candle stoves like coffee, tea, eggs and similar and it will save you a lot of money on electricity.
|
And it is a good reminder, thank you. I forgot that you can use candles. Now there is a million scented candle fragrances out there to choose from so this can be considered an aroma therapy as well.

Good points! I also love burning candles. When I burn candles a lot though, I find residue on my countertops and even my toilet lid and seat. :(

Don't forget if you are burning candles for light, make sure they are not scented. We have had several power outages where we have had to use candle light and the scents will war with each other and make a totally unfriendly breathing environment.

You are right and that is why I use unscented candles. I use various candle sizes: from tealights to large pillar candles that lost a long time. I even cook on them when camping. |
Candles definitely helped me this past winter. It was super cold and I kept burning candles in my room. It definitely kept my room warmer without having to crank up the thermostat.
