Default Eco-Friendly Flooring

What choices do I have in order to redo my floors and make them green. Are there natural fiber alternatives? I have heard that we can get hardwood floors make out of bamboo. Besides bamboo what recycle alternatives are there?

I have seen not only hardwood floors made out of bamboo, but there are some nice rugs made out of recycled materials. There is also some nice cork tiles and reclaimed wood flooring. There are a lot of eco-friendly alternatives.

I think bamboo is really a popular option for green flooring. I've heard that cork flooring is another eco-friendly flooring choice. Cork is said to have cushioning and thermal effects so it makes the floors very comfortable to walk on.

Bamboo is the material I am most familiar with for eco-friendly flooring. A friend of mine installed carpet that is mostly bamboo. It is super soft and easy to live with.
