As for the OPs question, of course buying green products in general is probably the better way to go and i do... honestly though some of the products that arent green may work better but in the long run you are making a difference

they might not be as good but at the same time green products are not doing the harm that these corporate abominations are !

yea, a lot of money.... all these green alternatives are at least 5-10 dollars more than what the corporate mumbo jumbo costs... so stuck between my choices all the time just because of that

yes but why do you think its so much cheaper... the way the go through natural resources and outsource labor is a crime

I am interested in architechtural designs and developments that would help me to decrease the electric bills and the water consumption at home. So far, I got the designs in my head.

I'm very interested in such architecture. But there are two main things that this house needs to provide. Enough warmth in the winter and pleasant cool feeling during summer.

I've seen articles about homes built into the side of a hill. This interests me since I'm in an area which is very hilly and when the sun comes over the opposing hill, we get a lot of energy in the form of heat. As a matter of fact, we wind up air conditioning even sometimes in the winter since the sun hits so much on our trailer.
