Lightbulb Manual Grass Cutting

What happened to times when people used to cut their lawns with manual grass cutter tools? Isn't it better to use a silent one instead of a loud, noisy gasoline grass-cutter? Apart from cutting your grass it can give you a great workout.

I used to use my grandfather old reaper style grass cutter. Boy I can tell it is hard to master the proper technique with it. I end up almost destroying the lawn in the end.

Considering that grass must be cut often if you wish to have a nicely maintained lawn + you need to spend a lot of money on fuel. That is why this is a great advice!

Modern reel mowers are much more efficient than your grandfather's reel mower, so you don't have to worry as much about mowing multiple times per week. Once a week should do.

We'd like to get feedback from the community for our reel mower FAQs. Email me (jeff [at] clicktoshop.com] with any questions about mowers and I'll reply personally and try to build it into our FAQs. Much appreciated!

The problem is we have much more "lawn" than we used to. It's a shame really. We need to go back to small lawns and being able to use a reel type mower. If I had to mow my yard with a reel type mower, it'd take me more than a week. The bad thing is we live in a neighborhood that has an association and they have rules that say we have to mow all of our lawns every week or more. I wonder what they would say if I got a sheep? LOL
