Default Low Water Plants

What kinds of plants (other than cacti) are plants that look great, but also consume a minimal amount of water? I really want to save water, so I don't want to plant plants that will increase my water bill.

The Becky Shasta Daisy is really nice. It does need direct sun light and it needs to be planted in a well drained area. It can stand drought. So you could be set with this plant.

You could also try the English Lavender. It is perennial. You can have it outside during the summer and bring it inside in the winter. Or you can have it in a sunny part of you house. If you have it outside, it attracts butterflies, and it repels ants. So this is also good for people with ant problems.

African lily tolerant of drought and varied soil conditions. It has nice blue flowers. It grows best in partial or full sun. During cold winters, you can bring it inside. If you want more blooms, then you can give it more water.
