Question How many cars do you have?

How many cars does an average family have? Can't we minimize it? Having several cars means using that much fuel that gives out more carbon monoxide to the environment.

I agree with you. I think to have less cars is safer for the family and better for the environment. Instead of buying two regular cars for the husband and the wife, use the money to buy a hybrid car.

I think the average family probably owns two cars. However, if both the man and the woman work, it's almost impossible to do with only one car, especially if public transit isn't available

I don't drive. I do live in an area where I can use public transportation, however. I can get anywhere I want between buses and trains so it makes sense for me. However, someone in a rural area wouldn't have that choice.

In theory having less cars is quite good, I say go one up and use public transportation, but most people don't like the discomfort and hassle that comes with that. Another factor to consider is if you and your significant other work in two opposed parts of the city, you'll use more gas going from one point to the other than if you would have used two cars.

We live in a rural area and our jobs are in two directions. Having two cars is a necessity for us. Though at weekends we tend to only use the one that is the most economical.
