Default Thrift Stores

I consider myself to be a bargain hunter. As such, I love to visit thrift stores. You can find clothes that have never been worn, still have the tags on them. And some were very expensive when new, and you can get them for about ten cents on the dollar.

These days, we must try to become intelligent on the goods that we are buying. I agree with you that visiting thrift stores is good if we are looking for a cheaper price of the same quality. The problem I see here is that there are many imitations on thrift stores that looks very real.

I love thrift stores and rarely buy new anything anymore. Part of that is to save money, of course, but I hate seeing perfectly good items ending up in landfills. That's why I belong to my local Freecycle group, too.

Thrift Stores and charity shops, what's not to love? You can find almost anything you need at a much lower price. I am a very frugal person but also looking after quality

I detest spending money when it's not necessary. The only problem is that our local Goodwill has spread an infestation of lice! It's truly a disgrace. I always wait until I go to our doctor in another town and go to their Salvation Army Store and Goodwill. I have found so many good things that people have given away and like Josh44 says, some with the tags still on them.

Thrift stores are a great place to buy and recycle books. I can get a very good to almost new book for $1-2.00 or even $0.50 then when I'm done, I just donate it back to them.

I love to go to thrift stores! I find some of the most interesting things there. I love to find unusual clothing or goods. I hate the run of the mill stuff and I'm very glad it helps to recycle things too. I love my thrift goods!

I do the same thing! Only, I TELL myself I'm going to return it, but usually end up keeping it saying "Oh I might want to read it again... Better keep it!"

Thrift stores are wonderful though. I try to buy as much of my wardrobe as possible from thrift stores. It takes a little more time to search through everything, but the savings are worth it! Recycling is wonderful

I shop at thrift stores and flea markets a lot. I love getting the bargains, and recycling the items is friendly to the environment. It's a good feeling to get the great bargains and know that I'm helping to recycle instead of the items going to a landfill.

Oh, and don't forget tag/yard/garage sales during the summertime. It's a Saturday ritual for us. We have a cart and we start walking the neighborhood. I've found some wonderful bargains. I once found an old chandelier that's wiring was bad. I used it over our dining room table after I had taken out all of the wiring and made a "candle" chandelier out of it. It gives wonderful light and ambiance to our dining room when we have dinner in there.
