Wouldn't plain cans be a lot more apt to rust? I know I've seen old cans that have been thrown in the trash have rusted. We cleaned up plenty of those on Earth Day this year. I swear people are so nasty sometimes.

I think that is why Michy Luv mentioned the rubber coating with the environmentally friendly paint. It would seal the cans and prevent rust in addition to making it look nice.
