Default The greenest color

When it comes to your website layout, what is the greenest color which makes your web pages take least energy to display on your screen? I don't think it's green.

Default Go black

I read an article not long ago about this topic and they are saying that black is the greenest colour because it uses less energy. Obviously, a white background sheds more light, thus, it consumes more energy. Interesting article, thanks for posting. I have visited blackle.com and yeah, it's black. Unfortunately I cannot access the web page on which is posted the report which supports Bill Weihl's claim.
