Default Were Your Parents Green?

Did your parents practice earth friendly practices? I know mine did to a certain extent but they were so close to the soil it came naturally to them and to me as I was growing up. We really didn't know the impact we were having on the earth with some of the practices we used either. They did the best they could and practiced a lot of "the old ways" because we didn't have the money to do otherwise. They would be surprised today to learn they were ahead of the times.

I guess there was less need back then for them to be green than we should be right know. But I'm sure that older generations enjoyed nature more than we are today.

Yes, my parents are somewhat green. They recycle and compost, and some years they grow vegetables, so they have definitely made some good environmental decisions.

I don't think my parents were as conscious as me right now about being green to help save the planet. Building on what Greenerly mentioned, I guess the environment has been receiving more attention now than ever before.

Back then people didn't think that situation would get this bad so only the true nature lovers were acting green. My parents love nature so I can say they were enough green at the time.

I remember a lot of what my parents did when I was a child. We grew our own vegetables and fruits and we used horse manure for our fertilizer. It was so much better for us back then. We didn't have to worry about pollution because we walked everywhere or used our bicycles back then. We would all be better off if we all used a lot of those old practices today.
