This is quite a list for me to start following all at once but I can surely start with the first few & move on down the list. This would definitely bring me a step closer to being completely eco-friendly.

Here is information on a class teaching how to live a healthier lifestyle:

Health and the environment workshop in South Side
A Human Health and the Environment Workshop presented by the Pennsylvania Resources Council in partnership with CCI Center for Environmental Oncology will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 11. The class will be held at the CCI Center on 64 South 14th Street from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Health and the Environment Workshop is designed to heighten awareness and encourage action around the issue of carcinogens and toxins that everyone comes into contact with daily in their environment through the products they use and the food they eat. The workshop also focuses on the consequences of these toxins on health and how to avoid exposure.

The program provides the public with practical solutions such as safe alternatives and healthy lifestyle choices.

In an effort to reduce exposure to toxins and to reduce the amount of toxins in the environment, all workshop participants will receive a non-toxic green cleaning kit. Cost of the workshop is $20 per person. Those interested in attending the workshop should contact Sarah Alessio at 412-488-7490 ext 236 or saraha@ccicenter.org. Space is still available

I don't think they're stupid at all. I mean, everything isn't for everybody. Some people will be able to use the list to do some things while others may not, and vice versa. Like public transportation; I live in the country and there is no public transit here, but if it was available, I would use it.

The list in general is good but some of them are redundant. Like for example number 57 to 64 can be summarized as "recycle things that can be recycled".

I agree with Josh that some of the lists can be done by some people but if we can do some of things listed there then it can help.

Whoa! That's quite a list. I believe one doesn't necessarily have to do all of them if the situation doesn't allow it. But if one can, it would be absolutely amazing. But if everyone will try to do his/her best this world will be a much, much better better place.

Great tips but too long and as said earlier, some are redundant. I can only say that for these two:
8. Buy in bulk goods to reduce wasted packaging.
13. Buy large quantities to reduce shopping trips.
More money is wasted when I buy in bulk because it can't all be used up.
And this one:
16. Buy organic, pesticide-free foods.
How do we know if it is really organic?

Cool Mugs Save Trees

An everyday tip for a greener lifestyle? Using a reusable coffee mug every time! It cuts down on waste caused from paper/plastic/styrofoam materials and saves you money!

I’m working with NBCUniversal to help raise awareness about the environment with “Mugs Save Trees” in this year's theme of Green is Universal's annual "Green Week".

Starting November 13th, NBCUniversal will bring to life the popular mantra “you don’t have to do a lot to do a lot,” with its “Mugs Save Trees” promotion both online and on the streets. Consumers are invited to upload a picture of themselves with their own reusable mug to the Green is Universal Facebook page (link below) for the chance to win a porcelain Green is Universal coffee mug signed by favorite NBCUniversal talent. Additionally, one grand prize winner will be chosen to win a trip for four to Universal Hollywood.

Let me know if anyone has any questions!
