Whitney Farms Compost Maker Plus
We highly recommend and encourage using this product with the UCT. It is very helpful to use a good quality compost starter/activator when composting to help break down all types of organic material, including grass clippings, leaves, and other yard debris. Whitney's COMPOST MAKER PLUS is a natural, organic compost activator. It is a blend of 100% Natural Organic ingredients designed to assist the backyard gardener in producing a premium compost. In addition to providing a nitrogen source, it contains additional phosphorous and potassium to enhance the nutrient qualities of the finished product.
Whitney Farms Prilled Dolomite Lime
Helps gardeners "sweeten" soil when they become too acid. Most plants grow best when the soil pH is between 6.0 and 7.0. This is the range where most of the nutrients necessary for plant growth are most available to plant roots. Using lime helps make the best use of your fertilizer dollars. In addition, this near neutral pH stimulates vigorous growth of beneficial soil microbes.
PRILLED DOLOMITE LIME is also a source of calcium and magnesium, two important plant nutrients. Plants use calcium to build strong cell wall, and magnesium is essential to chlorophyll production, keeping plants green.
PRILLED DOLOMITE LIME is derived from naturally occuring limestone deposits. It has been finely ground for quick action and then prilled to be easily sprinkled into your compost or used through a spreader.
