Description:
The Bacillus israelensis (Biti) produces a protein crystal that reacts with cells in the guts of mosquito and black fly larvae, giving them what amounts to bleeding ulcers resulting in the death of the larvae before it become a breeding, biting adult mosquito. Because the crystal proteins is specific to the cells lining the of mosquito and black fly larvae, it does not affect other insets, like dragonflies nor other life forms including plants and animals (pets), nor humans.
