Anacharis, Egeria densa, has been a favorite in the aquatic garden for a number of years. The fast growth rate of Anacharis helps with inhibiting algae growth through competition for nutrients. Anacharis is also known as leafy elodea or dense waterweed and has global origins. Anacharis makes a great backdrop for the other plants found in your aquarium. The other strong drawing quality of Anacharis is the wide range of environments in which it will thrive. When propagating, Anacharis accomplishes the task through cuttings. Several bunches of Anacharis should be introduced initially, with plants closely spaced. Due to legal restriction, we are unable to ship this plant to Vermont.
