- Jordan Goldman, the Principal Engineer at ZeroEnergy Design, as you may have guessed, also graduated from Cornell University, having studied Environmental and Biological Engineering and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering. These five founders of ZeroEnergy Design began as the founders of Cornell University's Solar Decathlon team. The competition, which was sponsored by the United States Department of Energy, challenged university students to research, design and build an 800 square foot home that was both powered by solar energy and off-grid. The efforts of these five individuals in the competition was awarded second place.
This company founded by Cornell alumni knows what it's doing and boasts a wealth of knowledge. ZeroEnergy Design encompasses a wide variety of services, including architecture, mechanical engineering and financial and lifecycle cost analysis. The employees at ZeroEnergy Design are continually inspired by nature. They collaborate with clients and experts in a variety of fields to make energy efficient, beautiful architectural structures. They aim to transform green architecture from an environmental niche to a mainstream paradigm.
Founded in 2005, ZeroEnergy Design has been designing green homes throughout the United States and abroad since their inception. As their name suggests, the guys at ZeroEnergy Design aim to design buildings that create as much energy as they use. EnviroCitizen.org firmly believes that ZeroEnergy Design is a great example of what we are truly capable of if we put our heads together for a greater cause. |
