 Dubai is a city that has become world renowned for its appeal to tourists. The Motor City development, based in Dubai, is based on a motor-sport theme and includes residential units, business towers, motor-sports facilities, retail and a theme park. Motor city itself is under development as is the Green Community, but it is being contructed swiftly. The project is expected to be completed in 2010.
Some of the homes are already standing and ready to be lived in. They feature a sporty and almost Mediterranean design. The company that is overseeing the contruction, Union Properties, states the following on their website: “The Green Community Motor City development aims to provide a way of life within a working and living secure community which encompasses landscaped gardens, water features, stone streets and walkways in a relatively traffic free environment. It is a family home development that includes luxury villas, family villas, townhouses, and bungalows. The development will also feature luxurious terraced apartments overlooking a lake. This brand development prides itself on its modern and beautiful surroundings with natural greenery being the key to peace and tranquility. The development will be gated and will offer retail opportunities and recreation centres. Construction is due for completion and handover in 2009.”
Green Community is located within the environmentally-clean, self-supporting development of the Dubai Investments Park. The Park is a mix of business, industrial, residential and recreational developments. Its mixed use offers investors a world class infrastructure, state-of-the-art facilities and quality services for academic, housing, manufacturing, research, and business purposes.
There is a Courtyard by Marriot hotel and apartment development there as well as a Childrens' Garden. The garden offers nursery services from professionals that speak English, German and Arabic. The apertments come fully serviced with many amenities. Each 1 and 2-bedroom residence features a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, a dedicated work/study area with high-speed Internet and balconies or terraces overlooking the lake. There are restaurants that are on-site that give both residents and tourists a place to enjoy a meal nearby.
